On 31 October 2020 Mr. Sergey Mineyev, Managing partner of Turkmen Expert Group, member of CMC Kazakhstan (www.cmc.kz) has participated in an online-training organized by the ICMCI (www.cmc-global.org) in respect of self-declaration and application the ISO 20700:2017 ‘Guidelines for management consultancy service’ and thereafter has been granted with the designation ‘Accredited trainer for ISO 20700:2017’.
Because of the flexible nature of management consultancy the standard ISO 20700:2017 has been developed by ICMCI as a guideline and not as a normative compliance standard. Therefore, it is not intended for external assessment and certification but does allow for self-certification.
The standard is designed to bring benefit for both consultants and clients alike because it allows both parties to identify and agree what will be good practice in the project, which the consultant is undertaking for the client. Therefore, it allows the client to see if the consultant is planning and implementing the work properly. The aim of the document is to improve transparency and understanding between clients and management consultancy service providers, in order to achieve better results from consultancy projects.
Turkmen Expert (‘TE’) has self-declared for ISO 20700:2017 and uses a self-declaration checklist for its consultancy projects as provided in the standard. TE’s Integrated Quality and Information Security Management System complies to the requirements of ISO 9001:2015, ISO 27001:2013 and ISO 20700:2017 and TE’s staff is duly trained for the application of requirements and guidelines of the above mentioned standards.
